In April 2021, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) launched a collection of 10,000 NFTs. The entire collection sold out in approximately 12 hours, each NFT priced at around $190. The project rapidly gained popularity, drawing notable celebrities like Stephen Curry, Eminem, and Justin Bieber, who adopted these ape NFTs as their online profile pictures. Justin Bieber notably spent $1.29 million on his Ape.
Fast forward about a year, the company behind the BAYC project, Yuga Labs, achieved a staggering valuation of $4 billion. As of today, the BAYC collection has generated over 1 million ethereum in secondary trading volume.
In August 2021, all Bored Ape Yacht Club holders received a free airdrop of a Mutant Serum. This Serum, when combined with a BAYC NFT, has the unique ability to transform an Ape into a Mutant Ape. The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) collection comprises a total of 20,000 NFTs and has also achieved an impressive secondary sales volume exceeding 1 million ethereum.
Like Bored Apes consume Serum to mutate into Mutant Apes, consumers drink Serum Energy Drink to mutate into a more energised and focused version of themselves.
Yuga Labs grants NFT owners the rights to utilize their NFT's intellectual property. At Serum, we actively engage with the Bored Ape Yacht Club narrative. We proudly own and prominently feature MAYC #1103 as our project's mascot and for branding initiatives.
In a world where a secret society of apes guarded their domains, an Ape named Jangles faced attacks endangering their existence. During a cyber mosquito invasion, a mysterious Serum was airdropped from the sky, mutating Jangles into a Mutant Ape with incredible strength. The secret society of apes soon followed, becoming Mutant Apes too.
Driven by scientific curiosity, Jangles tirelessly recreated the Serum, sharing it with humans worldwide, who upon consumption, gained heightened energy and focus. And so, Serum Energy Drink came into existence.
One day, while Jangles was casually fishing by a serene pond, he accidentally knocked over a can of Serum. Little did he know that this simple mishap would trigger a chain of extraordinary events. Below the water's surface, unsuspecting tadpoles eagerly consumed the spilled Serum, kickstarting their transformation into the lively Mutant Toads, affectionately called Mutatoads.
The Mutatoads now love Serum. Their little hearts beat in rhythm with their beloved drink. They are on a perpetual caffeine high, ensuring that all their adventures result in a chaotic sercus (Serum circus). Luckily, Master Jangles is always around to ensure things don't get completely out of control.
In the whimsical world of the Mutatoads, there is one thing that fuels their zany adventures and their love for Serum Energy Drink - the coveted SER tokens. These digital tokens are the lifeblood of their world, the currency they use to pay for everything, from their beloved Serum Energy Drinks to the most outlandish gadgets and gizmos that fuel their antics.
The Mutatoads are a bit money-hungry, and their social media escapades are more than just a quest for likes and followers; they are all about racking up SER tokens. Their wacky stunts, viral videos, and captivating posts are part of their ingenious plan to amass more of these valuable tokens. As they hustle and bustle in the digital realm, the SER tokens flow in, financing their amusing escapades and fueling their extravagant, caffeine-fueled adventures.
